My friend Erica made a trip to Charleston and returned with a beautiful bottle of Angel rye whisky which I received as a gift from her. Thanks Erica for this wonderful gift. I’m still slowly but surely making my way through the bottle ☺ I decided to use this rye whisky to prepare our southern cocktail of the month – Rye Whisky Sour.
Ingredients:
- Ice
- 2 oz Rye whisky
- 1 egg white
- 1 oz agave nectar
- 1 oz fresh squeezed lemon juice
- Dash of bitters
Method:
Fill a shaker halfway with ice. Add all the above ingredients except bitters and shake vigorously for about 20 seconds. The mix when you look at it should have look frothy. Pour into a cocktail glass and top with bitters. Cheers!
