Grilled Lemon Sardines

Found these absolutely incredible, fresh sardines in the neighborhood Citarella and had to buy them. When I was travelling through Spain, I ate these garlicky sardines in oil that were great. I decided to make these sardines as a tapas option really quickly as it was almost lunch time. Easy to make with high nutrition value.

Mangalorean Fish Curry

Most dishes served at Indian restaurants in NYC and America represent a very small proportion of the myriad recipes found across the different regions of India. My roots are from the South of India, close to Mangalore in the state of Karnataka and the dishes found there are completely different from the dishes in North India. I grew up eating more of fish than the Chicken Tikka masala, Butter Paneer and Korma which are run of the mill and common place dishes from North India that are more popular here.

Mama’s Meatball Curry

This is a family classic and after I have posted this article will no longer be a secret. My mother will probably not be too happy that I have divulged the recipe but what the heck, people need to know what pure wholesome home food tastes like. The only slight modification I made to my mom’s original recipe is to reduce the number of chillis for the level of spice. Do not be intimidated by the number of ingredients. I’m sure that you will at the end of the day respond back to this article saying how good the dish turned out. If not – hey you did something wrong
